Step 2: Click on “Camera” under “App Permissions” and then turn on the button under “Allow apps access to your camera.”
Step 3: Make sure that Camera is set to “ON” in the list of Microsoft Store apps as well.
Step 4: Now go back to the Settings Window and click on “Microphone” under “App Permissions
Step 5: Make sure “Allow Apps to Access your Microphone” is turned “ON” and also make sure that Microphone is turned “ON” in the list of apps.
Use the Camera App to Record;

Step 1: Begin by opening the QuickTime Player on your Mac. You can find it on the system’s Applications folder.
Step 2: Once it is open, pull down the “File” menu and then select “New Movie Recording” from the options that appear on the screen.
Step 3: You should see the FaceTime webcam appear on the screen. When you are ready to begin the recording, click on the red record button and the recording will begin immediately.
Step 4: When you’re finished, hit the red button again to stop the recording. You can choose to use some of the basic editing features in QuickTime to trim the video.
Step 5: When you’re happy with the video, click on “File > Save” to save the recording on your computer. If you would like to directly save the video on YouTube or any other site, choose “File > Export” instead.
Step 6: Give the video a title and choose a folder on your Mac to save the video or where you would like to export it.

The resolution of the video will however depend on the model of Mac you are using. Different models have FaceTime webcam cameras with varying resolutions, although you should expect a general resolution of between 480p and 720p.
